We’re presenting at Rail: North of the Border

We’re delighted to be presenting at Rail: North of the Border on the 3rd March. It will host 500 delegates made up of key decision makers from Transport Scotland, Network Rail and Scotland’s Railway. The idea is to come together to discuss Scotland’s future railway plans.

Bellrock Technology will be presenting to discuss the importance of data for the future of the Rail Industry.

This follows on from our collaboration with Angel Trains, one of Britain’s leading train Asset Management companies with an enviable track record as an innovative and large-scale investor in the rail industry. Using our technology Lumen®, Angel Trains now use their data for door performance monitoring and have an approach they can scale for wider use across the organisation.

Bellrock Technology’s Chief Technology Officer, Professor Stephen McArthur, will be presenting:

Operational Advantage through Data Analytics: Case Studies in Rapid and Effective Deployment in the Rail Industry

“There is significant interest, discussion and ambition around the use of data to improve operations, efficiency and maintenance. Nevertheless, the delivery of valuable data-driven and analytic insights can still be difficult to achieve. This technical session will describe an approach to building data products and services for the rail industry that has proven to be quick, efficient and to provide tangible business value. It will outline the common business and technical challenges, and how these can be overcome to move rapidly from a concept, through proof of value to business as usual. Bellrock Technology has created a unique product platform and approach to delivering analytic applications that leverage existing data, software and cloud investments while allowing data scientists, engineers and technical teams to integrate their algorithms rapidly and effectively. Case studies from the rail sector will be covered, with examples of the problem, technical solution, speed of delivery and value to the businesses.”
